SAMPLE TEXTS OF RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL/REFLECTION PERIOD
It is mandatory to inform your customers of the right of withdrawal outside the general terms and conditions. Even if there is no right of withdrawal for your products, this must be stated. If you do not do this, the customer has the option to return free of charge no less than 12 months after purchase.

The minimum you must mention is:

Does the right of withdrawal apply? For which products yes/no?
How can the customer exercise his right of withdrawal?
When does the right of withdrawal expire?
That the entire order amount will be refunded within 14 days after registering the return (this is legally required).
Does the customer have to pay return costs himself?
To meet these conditions, you can easily copy the standard text below to your online store.

Standard text reflection period
You can use the following text in standard cases to inform your customer of his right to return:

“You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation you have another 14 days to return your product. If you return the entire order, you will be credited with the full order amount including any shipping costs. If you return part of the order, any shipping costs will not be reimbursed. Only the costs for returning from your home to the online store are borne by the customer. These costs are approximately €6.95 per package, consult your carrier's website for the exact rates. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product will be returned to the entrepreneur with all accessories supplied and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging. To exercise this right, please contact us at bull.berkel5@casem.nl. We will then refund the order amount due within 14 days after registering your return, provided that the product has already been returned in good order.”

Exception customization
Are your products excluded because you only sell custom work? Then you can point this out to your customer with the following text:

“Products that you purchase through this online store are custom made according to the specification you enter. The right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. The sale is therefore final after successful payment.”

Sealed products exception
You may seal products under certain circumstances, for example products that cannot be returned after opening for hygienic reasons. These products may be returned if the seal has not been broken:

“You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason, provided the seal has not been broken. If the seal is broken, your order is final and cannot be returned. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, you have another 14 days after cancellation to return your product. If you return the entire order, you will be credited with the full order amount including any shipping costs. If you return part of the order, any shipping costs will not be reimbursed. Only the costs for returning from your home to the online store are at your own expense. These costs are approximately €6.95 per package, consult your carrier's website for the exact rates. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product will be returned to the entrepreneur with all accessories supplied and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging. Exception for non-perishable products
Are your products excluded because they only have a short expiration date? Think, for example, of fresh products. Then you can point this out to your customer with the following text:

“Products you purchase through this online store have a limited shelf life and therefore cannot be returned. The right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. The sale is therefore final after successful payment.”
