Letter opener Sola May 1940
SKU: SKU-200152A letter opener to support the Netherlands after the German invasion in May 1940. Presumably part of the proceeds from the sale went to the reconstruction of the Netherlands. The front of the spoon contains an image of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwetoren in Amersfoort and the date May 1940. The back reads: “Supports the reconstruction of our homeland” with an image of a grenade and an image of the Dutch lion. The manufacturer of the letter opener is Solafabriek M. J. Gerritsen N V. Zeist. , 19cm
